Protecting Your Peace with the Daily Review

Read time: 3 minutes

In recent weeks, I’ve heard from alumni who have lost their homes to the fires in LA, founders forced to pivot their product-based businesses in response to political threats of tariffs, senior leaders navigating the uncertainty of mass cuts to international development organizations, and managers struggling under heavier workloads with fewer resources than ever before.

The opportunity to get triggered into survival mode is all around us.

More than ever, protecting your peace of mind is not optional—it is essential.

Without it, your ability to think clearly, focus, and get things done is significantly limited, making it even harder to navigate these intense times.

Not only is cultivating peace of mind the key to better performance, but it’s also the key to actually enjoying your life.

I’m often asked if I meditate. The truth? I believe learning to know ourselves beyond our automatic thoughts is foundational. Meditation should be as natural as brushing your teeth. I personally meditate for 25 minutes, once or twice a day.

But there’s another practice I consider just as crucial to how we work and live.

The Power of a Daily Review

The Daily Review is a simple yet powerful way to create peace of mind in your everyday life. Spending just 10-12 minutes planning your day can save you up to 2 hours, leading to a 25% improvement in performance and productivity.

Contrary to popular belief, adding a structured work habit into your schedule doesn’t mean adding another chore to your to-do list. Taking time to complete your day and return your tasks to zero isn’t a burden—it’s an opportunity. Consciously setting aside 30 minutes for a Daily Review can be transformative.

This is dedicated time to process everything you’ve captured, organize your thoughts, and funnel it all through your system.

Let’s be honest—you likely won’t have time to do this throughout the day unless you intentionally schedule it. Don’t fool yourself! This practice requires a different kind of brain power: processing, not executing.

Your Daily Review time is sacred.

To help you build this habit, I’ve recorded a 5-minute Daily Review Meditation to guide you through the process and set the right tone for this practice. It’s designed to help you shift gears, reflect, and step into clarity.

Give yourself the gift of a clear mind and a calm presence.

Try the Daily Review Meditation now and make this practice a part of your daily rhythm.
